Your responsibilities
Manage aircraft configuration
Develop, improve and keep up-to-date the Aircraft Maintenance Programs based on Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICAs), other regulatory requirements, and service experience
Issue monthly and six-monthly reliability reports, perform an analysis of the Aircraft Maintenance Program’s effectiveness and implement engineering recommendations to increase fleet reliability
Ensure completeness and accuracy of relevant aircraft records (e.g. AD, SB, STC, modifications, repairs, component records, emergency equipment, etc.) to demonstrate continued airworthiness at any time to the local aviation authorities
Ensure that the aircraft configuration status is accurately reflected in the maintenance software system (AMOS) and on other relevant status sheets
Ensure on-time analysis of the Airworthiness Directives and other mandatory requirements, non-mandatory Modifications and other service information. Ensure that accomplishment can be achieved within the recommended timeframe and within the specified technical and financial boundaries
Request approval for any deviations from Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (e.g. repair deviation, AMOC, etc.) from the OEM or regulator as applicable
Coordinate extension and renewal of the aircraft Airworthiness Review Certificate
Actively participate in the Safety and Compliance Action Groups, review the occurrence reports, provide recommendations, and track improvements
Represent the Engineering department within Challenge Group but also towards external parties such as local authorities, OEMs, design or maintenance organizations
Continuously seek for improvement to increase aircraft reliability, safety standards and working processes
Develop and maintain engineering processes to optimize the use of maintenance software and ensure maximum fleet availability
Develop and maintain a set of indicators to measure the performance of the engineering activities and ensure that the agreed targets are met or exceeded
Support contract negotiation (checks, modifications, etc.)
Your profile
Bachelor or Master’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering
5-10 years in a senior engineering position, with a minimum of 10-15 years of experience in aviation
Solid knowledge of EASA & FAA regulations, in particular regulations relating to Part-CAMO, Part-21 and Part-145
Experience with Boeing 747, 767 or 777 cargo aircraft is an advantage, but not a requirement
Hands-on management skills, experience and passion for coaching to help your team grow professionally
Good communication skills with empathy, influence, and inspiration as well as ability to manage conflicts
Flexible and stress resistant
Strong project management skills and ability to organize workload in an efficient way
Experience with Microsoft Office tools
Experience with aviation maintenance software, Swiss-AS AMOS is an advantage
Fluent English required
Solid skills and knowledges in accounting, economy; finance, legislation and office procedures
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in French and English
Proficient in computer software programs, such as Microsoft Office (MS Excel and MS Word, specifically)
Attention to detail & organization skills
