Logistics Assistant Manager (M,F,X)
Main tasks & Accountabilities
Logistics activities
- Organization of all ASL Maintenance logistics activities (covering 24/7 operational needs), including warehouse, purchasing and repair activities
- Organization and supervision of internal and external transport activities, including customs activities
- Purchasing parts and services according to the company’s needs, taking into account company procedures and economic constraints. Help minimize the creation of “dead stock”
- Manage stock levels of consumables, tooling and rotables. Balancing stocks in Brussels, Liège and Paris CDG to avoid material shortages
- Coordination of GSE and tooling calibration
- Back-up of certain department tasks as required
Reporting / Procedures / Continuous improvement
- Seek to constantly improve the efficiency of the logistics department in collaboration with the Logistics Manager.
- Assist the Logistics Manager in all projects.
- Develop effective, timely reporting in line with processes and indicators.
- Establish, implement and maintain internal procedures.
- Ensure quality of service to internal and external customers, taking into account costs and the principles of continuous improvement.
Communication
- Ensure good relations within the department and with other external services.
- Ensure good collaboration to achieve objectives.
Regulations
- Respond to logistical and Part145 audits as well as customer authority regulations.
Requirements
Essential Educational and / or Training Qualifications & Certificates
You have a Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience, in logistics or operations management.
Preferred Experience and Knowledge
- You have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in the sector, preferably in a similar function
- Experience in the aeronautical sector is an asset
- You have experience in stock management
- You have a good knowledge of the MS Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Knowledge of customs and transport is a plus
- You have strong negotiation skills
- You have a clean certificate of good conduct (required for work on airport sites)

Working Conditions: Full-time contract, office week hours. However, operational flexibility is required (nights and weekends) in case of urgent need
Salary range: According to the experience and skills of the candidate – Competitive package with insurances, in line with the aviation industry
Location: ASL Maintenance – the position is based in Liège, but covers the Liège & Brussels (BE) and Paris-CDG (FR) sites
